DC Care Sells Commonside Care

DC Care Sells Commonside Care

On behalf of Toni Quinn, DC Care is delighted to announce the recent successful sale of Commonside Care, a former specialist care home located in Pensnett, Brierley Hill in the West Midlands.

Commonside Care previously provided learning disability care for up to six residents and enjoyed an excellent reputation for many years. After the occupancy dropped, the difficult decision to close the home was made.

With Toni looking to retire, DC Care was appointed and the property was acquired by Jules Tustin, who previously operated care homes in the Dudley Borough for adults with learning disabilities.

Following completion of the sale Jules commented “The sale was not a ‘run of the mill’ straightforward transaction and so there were many issues and frustrating times on both sides.

At all times, DC Care got in touch with me to update me every step of the way, especially Clare who took the time to contact me during outside working hours times, when necessary to keep the sale fluent. Although I was the buyer and not the vendor they still offered me support and help throughout the whole procedure.

They showed professionalism and commitment to their clients for the whole duration of the process.

I would definitely recommend DC Care to anyone looking to sell or buy a property from them, so much so I have asked them to keep me on their contact list to inform me of any other properties which they may have for sale in the future which meet my requirements as I would very much look forward to working with them in the future.

You’re a great team, and a fantastic business you deserve to do well!”

The sale of Commonside Care was handled by DC Care’s Director Andy Sandel and Senior Sales Negotiator Clare Duffey. Clare commented “Commonside Care as a vacant care home offered a variety of options for purchasers, which attracted a lot of interest and we were pleased to find a suitable buyer in Jules Tustin. It was a pleasure working with Charlotte Jones at Lunn Groves, who worked tirelessly on the legal due diligence to help keep the sale on track.

Andy and I would like to wish Toni a happy retirement, and we look forward to sourcing Jules’ next care home opportunity.”
