DC Care advises corporate care home operators, private clients, specialist care operators, banks, accountants, property developers and investors regarding the sale and acquisition of operational care facilities, empty units for redevelopment and the sale and acquisition of development sites for care use.

Working with vendors and purchasers nationwide, DC Care has established itself as one of the largest independent care specific agencies in the UK.

Maintaining a significant live database of potential purchasers enables us to respond swiftly to meet vendor clients’ requirements. The DC Care team has extensive specialist experience, gained over many years and we are able to offer practical and commercial advice to clients.

Where appropriate, our specialist team liaises closely with other professionals, including solicitors, accountants, funders and appointed insolvency administrators who again have care sector specific experience and knowledge. DC Care is a firm which is very well regarded within the long term care sector. References are available on request.


DC Care has implemented strict procedures in order to seek and exceed the required levels of service and quality to clients.


As the majority of information pertaining to any care home sale is strictly confidential DC Care utilises non-disclosure agreements. Good reporting procedures are followed with regular updates issued to both vendors and purchasers throughout the sale process, with an emphasis on timely completion of the sale.


Sole agency terms are agreed at the outset with fees being payable from the proceeds of a sale.

Alison has extensive specialist healthcare business transfer experience and joined DC Care in 2010. In that time she has concluded sales of a range of businesses, from closed care homes and homes in administration, to well performing larger groups. Although based in Yorkshire, Alison also covers Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales with knowledge of the associated different regulatory bodies. With over 15 years in healthcare business transfer, Alison has developed a wide range of contacts and loves nothing more than completing the successful sale of a care business. She knows that selling is often emotional and appreciates the need for discretion and support. Outside of work, Alison is the child welfare officer for Wakefield Hockey Club, one of the largest in Northern England with almost 500 members, and also the welfare officer for North Hockey Association and was one of the founding coaches of Wakefield Flyzers, a specialist learning disability hockey team.

Andy has a wealth of experience in business transfer, having been in the industry for over two decades. Since joining DC Care in January 2010 he has built an excellent network of contacts in all aspects of care. A real hands-on and personal approach to the entire selling process has resulted in DC Care significantly increasing its presence in the South, making it one of the most active specialist agents in the sector. Andy is a keen sports fan, particularly when it comes to cricket, football and golf. He enjoys a round at his home course in Stamford most weekends, and even having reached his half century, Andy plays football every week including turning out for his local village Veterans team.

Lisa has over 25 years experience in commercial property valuation and business transfer and joined DC Care in 2007. Working in close conjunction with the Northern Region Director, Lisa proactively manages relationships with clients and monitors all sales through to completion. Outside of the office, Lisa’s young family keeps her very busy.

Clare joined DC Care in 2007 and very quickly established herself within the sales team. Working with the Southern Region Director Clare builds an excellent rapport with clients from the outset, maintaining a committed and positive approach throughout all stages of sales.

Michelle is the newest member of the DC Care team and has over 18 years experience within the legal and property sectors. Before joining DC Care Michelle was a residential sales negotiator based in York dealing with a wide range of residential property sales across the region. Outside of work she loves walking, travelling and spending time with her family.


Jonathan Rockliff

Senior Marketing & Sales Administrator – 01937 849 268 –

Jonathan joined DC Care in 2004, maintaining DC Care’s database of live purchasers and contacts and working in conjunction with all other members of the Senior Team. In the years since he has taken a hands-on role of the marketing with his technical approach.
