DC Care has been approached by a private investor, seeking to fund a particular portfolio of care homes in the North of England.
Field House, Clent, Stourbridge, Worcestershire - Reg 54
In what proved to be their busiest month ever in terms of completed sales, DC Care was delighted to finalise the acquisition of Field House Rest Home located in Clent, Stoubridge to experienced care operators Blackadder Corporation.
DC Care was instructed by the owners Mr and Mrs Lane to sell the Grade II* listed home as a genuine retirement sale having originally purchased the home themselves in the early 1970’s. Set in approximately 10 acres of grounds this particularly attractive care home is well known in the area and enjoys an excellent reputation.
After a somewhat protracted sale process, DC Care's Andy Sandel commented; "It may have taken longer than the average time to sell a care home, over 2 years in fact, but we never gave up and in the end this was possibly one of the most satisfying completions I’ve been involved with."
Delphine Court, Cockerton, Cumbria - Reg 22
DC Care is delighted to have completed the lease of Delphine Court, a former residential care home in the village of Cockerton, County Durham.
The property had been a residential care home run by a charity for a number of years, before being bought by our client, Mr G Shaw. Mr Shaw completed a substantial refurbishment of the building and contacted DC Care to find a new operator to lease the property to. DC Care found a specialist operator looking to establish a service in the area, for clients with a range of learning disabilities, in a supported living environment.
Alison Taylor, Specialist Business Appraiser at DC Care handled the instruction and said: "I am delighted that we were able to help Mr Shaw find a suitable tenant for Delphine Court. He was keen to ensure that a reliable operator was found and that the building continued to serve the local community. We found an operator very quickly and terms were agreed."
