DC Care is delighted to announce the recent successful sale of Dr Anderson Lodge, a substantial purpose built care home located in Doncaster, South Yorkshire registered for 60 service users within the categories of elderly nursing and dementia care.
The business has been sold on behalf of Mr Lakhan Kandola, who now seeks to focus on his other business interests in Southern England. The business has been acquired by Mr Jayanti Varsani, an existing operator in the East Midlands, with this latest acquisition expanding his existing care business portfolio.
DC Care’s Northern Region Director Alison Willoughby commented: “I have known Mr Kandola for a considerable time and I was delighted to be able to help him find a buyer for Dr Anderson Lodge. I worked closely with Scott Sanderson of Hawsons Chartered Accountant, who had been Mr Kandola’s accountant for a number of years and was a great help in ensuring the transaction progressed smoothly.
The care home has long been an integral part of the tightly knit local community and the new owners are looking forward to continuing nurture that relationship. With all rooms being single accommodation, the home appealed to a number of buyers. Larger homes always attract a lot of attention from purchasers and funders, and Dr Anderson Lodge was no exception.”
Care sector specialist Scott Sanderson of Hawsons Chartered Accountants added: “We are delighted to have been lead advisors on the sale of Dr Anderson Lodge on behalf of our client Lakhan Kandola of Platinum Care Homes Limited. The deal was supported by an experienced team of advisors in the sector which is critical to ensuring that the sales process is handled in the most efficient and professional manner for all parties involved. The new owners, Serenity One Limited, have an experienced management team and we look forward to working with them as new clients of the firm in the future. We are confident that the new owners will continue to deliver an exceptional standard of care to the residents of Dr Anderson Lodge and we wish them all the best for the future.”
