DC Care Raises Over £500 for Alzheimer’s Society

It’s barely been a month since the DC Care team plus their families and a four-legged friend took on the 6km route in the Leeds Memory Walk for Alzheimer’s Society and donations have been surging in!

Thousands of eager participants walked the walk on 31st August for a world without dementia. The route kicked off within the grounds of the Temple Newsam Estate, before branching out into the scenic countryside surrounding the estate, offering a challenging assortment of terrains and gradient changes. The team overcame the challenges and successfully completed the walk, very pleased and satisfied of their achievement for their cause.

The staff at DC Care raised over £500 for Alzheimer’s Society and we would like to thank everybody who donated. There is not one member of this team who has not been touched by this affliction. Your donations will go towards improving the lives of people with dementia and research into treatments that manage symptoms, halt disease progression and ultimately cure dementia.e

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year, that’s the equivalent of one person every three minutes. Other Memory Walks have taken place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia.
